Global monthly anomalies for each weather variable are displayed according to the year and month selections within the Display Criteria panel. The period of record begins in 1948. Anomalies are defined relative to the 1981-2010 averges.

Currently, the variable 'atlh' (ATL basin hurricanes) has been activated for this tool. This tool shows individual and accumulated monthly hurricanes tracks, ACE (Accumulated Cyclone Energy), and the numbers of tropical storms, hurricanes, and major hurricanes.
