Weather Variable Information

Monthly mean anomalies, index-correlations and composites are currently
available for seven weather variables:

• h500: 500 hPa geopotential height field (m)
• t850: 850 hPa temperature (deg F)
• rh2m: relative humidity at 2 meters (%)
• tmsl: sea-level temperature (deg F)
• prcp: Daily precipitation total (in/day)
• mslp: mean sea-level pressure (mb)
• wesd: water-equivalent snow depth: currently, snow/water ratio depends on temperature. See info link above snow cover key.
• atlh: Atlantic Basin hurricane activity
  (activated only for anomaly, analog_yrs, and timeSeries Analysis Types)
• itcz: African Intertropical Convergence Zone
  (activated only for the anomaly Analysis Type)

Selecting different weather variables maintains the setting of the other two
drop-down menus..
